A local owner of a manor took trouble to have a dilapidated Rudamina church replaced by a new one in the first half of the 18th century. That one even today stands on the hill and is available for visitors. The church was under construction for a long time; over its course, the architects changed at least once, therefore, the architecture of its different parts is to be assigned to different periods. Although the exterior of the church has dominating Baroque forms, still in the transept and five-walled apse one can see stylistic features, characteristic of Neo-Classicism. This is a consequence of the incomplete reconstruction of 1900 – only the rear addition was completed from the intended radical project of church reconstruction, which boasted Neo-Baroque and Neo-Classicism features: the transept and apse were added, the latter replaced the old rounded one.
The main tier of the front facade consists of a plane, vertically divided by eight pilasters set up at different distances, holding a large profiled cornice. Single-tier towers and low attic walls are joined by the rectangular pediment, in the middle of which a niche sits, framed on the sides by doubled pilasters, while on the top a triangular part is ended. The towers end with the small, rectangular in shape, wooden turrets-lanterns. Particularly charming is a Baroque accent – a narthex of curved forms, in the corners of which one sees “broken” pilasters. In this small volume of the building, one can see small cornices and capitals profiled abundantly. Near the church, there is a building of the deanery with forms characteristic of Neo-Classicism.
